Nationwide seminars to understand workplace reform launched

A series of free seminars aimed at enlightening employers on the new workplace relations system has been launched by automotive industry associations.
The seminars are being run by the MTA Queensland and VACC.
Funded by the federal Government, the seminars aim to ensure that employers and employees, particularly those in small businesses, understand the new workplace relations system and know how to comply with its new aspects, such as the Fair Dismissal Code for Small Business.
All seminars are free and are open to anybody to attend, even if they are not members of VACC or MTAQ and will be held in targeted regional and metropolitan areas throughout Victoria, Queensland, New South Wales and Tasmania.
The dates and venues for seminars in Queensland will be announced later and will be available on the MTAQ website www.mtaq.com.au
Queensland seminars will be held in Brisbane, Cairns, Gympie, Rockhampton, Toowoomba and Townsville.
