Despite the Australian International Motorshow cutting down on shows, a deal has been signed that will see the Brisbane Motorshow return to the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre in February 2010.

Expertise Events and event organiser the Motor Traders Association of Queensland (MTAQ) have signed a 10 year agreement for a five day event which Gary Fitz-Roy, managing director of Expertise Events, says will revolutionise how the public and the automotive industry interact.

“This show is more than just cars, it is an entertainment spectacular which will appeal to a broad range of consumers from the young first time buyers, to families and the grey nomads,” he says.

Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre general manager, Robert O’Keeffe says he is excited at the return of the annual motor show, which has been one of the most popular events on the Centre’s busy exhibition calendar and is now in a brand new format.

MTAQ Acting CEO Ian Field says he believes the new consumer led, entertainment and engagement based format will prove a winner both with the automotive industry and its customers. “It will return a great event to Brisbane’s major events calendar.”
